About Mahj Parlour

Mahj Parlour is an American Mahjong (Mah Jongg) app for iPhone and iPad, made by Tour in a Box LLC, a small independent studio. It launched on the App Store in April 2026 and holds a 4.8 rating from 223+ players.

We built Mahj Parlour because American Mahjong is having a wonderful moment. New players are learning the game every week and longtime players are teaching their daughters and friends, but the apps available didn't feel worthy of the game. We wanted real NMJL-style play, with the Charleston, jokers, and the 2026 card, wrapped in tiles and tables you'd actually want to look at for hours. No ads. No clutter. Just mahj.

Inside the app you'll find real-time online games with friends, practice against smart bots, skill-based matchmaking, twelve free interactive lessons for new players, and a growing collection of hand-illustrated designer tile sets.

Mahj Parlour is an independent product and is not affiliated with the National Mah Jongg League. An official NMJL card is required to play, and you can order yours at nationalmahjonggleague.org.
